ISO Certification
ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is a network ofnational standards institutes from 146 countries working in partnershipwith international organizations, governments, and business andconsumer representatives. ISO acts as a bridge between public andprivate sectors and sets global standards for: efficiency, safety,cleanliness, quality, technology, environmental legislation and trade,among a variety of other standards. ISO works within the realms ofbusiness, government and society. The organization has a number ofdifferent certificates for meeting specific standards. The ISO isconcerned with “Quality Management”. This refers to what anorganization does to enhance customer satisfaction by meeting customerand regulatory requirements while continually striving to improve itsperformance.
ISO Certification
AKUNA achieved the ISO 9001:2000 certification after an assessmentof the company’s Quality Management System for the Manufacturer ofNatural Health Food Products. This certificate is an internationalreference for quality requirements in business-
to-business dealings.

GMP Certificate
The GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) Certificate was issued by theNatural Health Products Directorate of Health Canada and is renewedannually. This certificate ensures that the sites and operations ofAKUNA have been assessed and were found to be in compliance with theGood Manufacturing Practice requirements of the Natural Health ProductsRegulations.
